Angelfish Inn at Hollywood Beach - for a Vacation to Remember

This is a lovely motel in Hollywood Beach. It's a small, independently owned business that is well cared for, and you will feel welcome and comfortable throughout your vacation stay.

Did you vacation in South Florida as a kid? Do you remember going back to that same affordable motel near the beach year after year, making new friends, meeting up with old friends, and feeling welcome and at home when you arrived every year? Do you miss those days? Think places like that don't exist anymore? Then you haven't been to Angelfish Inn in Hollywood Beach. Located a few hundred yards from the famous Hollywood Broadwalk, steps from the Hollywood Trolley stop, and just across A1A from the nearest water taxi stop at Giorgio's Bakery and Grill, the Angelfish Inn will take you back to those days.

Angelfish Inn is the direct opposite of boxy chain hotels and motels, where every room is the same, and the decor looks like it was chosen in the dark. At Angelfish Inn, you will find colorful, tropical, beachy decor that varies from room to room. You will also find everything you need to have an affordable, enjoyable beach vacation. Many of the rooms have stoves, so you'll be able to cook breakfast for the kids and there are two shiny new gas grills in the courtyard just waiting for you to drop a steak or freshly caught fish onto hot grates. You can enjoy your meal at the large covered table in a tiled area of the courtyard right next to a turtle and koi pond that houses the biggest white koi I have ever seen.

Feel like getting some sun but don't want to go to the beach? There are lounge chairs on the wood plank deck that get direct sunlight for a good share of the day, and you'll be surrounded by lovely tropical vegetation and cacti. The soothing sounds of water flowing into the turtle and fish pound drown out nearby traffic sounds and transport you to your own private oasis right in the middle of everything.

The owners of the Angelfish Inn will quickly become your friends - they treat everyone like family and will go out of their way to make special accommodations for you and to meet all of your needs. There are beach chairs available for you to borrow instead of paying rental fees on the beach, and the owners are always just a phone call away when they are out of the office. They answer your call night and day, and really want you to be happy during your stay. They aren't just people friendly, either! That's right - your small pet is welcome here. As a matter of fact, there are several resident cats that are friendly and willing to stand in as your temporary pet if you are missing your own. The cats are very non-intrusive. If you want to interact with them, you do.  If not, they're content to just bask in the office or in the sun outside. Not a cat person? Not a problem. They'll respect your space.

The Angelfish Inn is not a luxury resort, so don't expect daily maid service, room service, or towel service; however, if you need something, you need only to ask and it will magically appear within seconds. Irons, hairdryers, beach towels, you name it. If you need it and they have it, the owners are happy to share.

There  are several restaurants in the area that will deliver a meal to your room, and there's a delivery service that offers delivery of meals from many other area restaurants. The furnishings are not new. They are eclectic and well used, but well cared for, and create a homey, Key West kind of feeling. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with window air conditioners and ceiling fans. Rag rugs decorate the tiled floors, and comfy quilts cover the beds. The relaxing blue, green, and aqua color scheme carries throughout the motel, offering a pretty arts and crafts feeling. There are new small (about 22 inches) flat screen televisions in the rooms that get plenty of channels, and the wi-fi is flawless and fast. These modern touches have been incorporated seamlessly into the old time charm of the motel.

Angelfish Inn is located at 342 Buchanan Street in Hollywood, Florida. It's about five hundred feet from the North end of the Hollywood Broadwalk, close enough to walk to absolutely everything. The rates are amazingly affordable any time of year, and a military discount is offered. Call Karin at 954-921-1099 today and make a reservation - they're often sold out, so make plans early if you can! Visit angelfishinn.com for more pictures and information.
